Instead, this clothing was specially developed for workers in an industrial setting to protect them from the consequences of the above-mentioned hazards.
When using protective clothing against the thermal hazards of an electric arc as specified in EN 61482-1-2, it is important to note that this protective clothing is not electrical insulating protective clothing as described in standards such as EN 50286:1999, "Electrical insulating protective clothing for low-voltage installations". Complete personal protection also requires additional suitable protective gear such as a safety helmet/visor, protective gloves.
